We believe that gay and non-gay Christians can and should come to the table of the Lord together, side by side, without labels. The leadership at Open Door Community Church is excited to see gay and non-gay Christians worshiping together as one. We exist to proclaim God’s unconditional love to all and to provide fellowship, friendship and spiritual opportunities to all. Open Door Community Churches offer a message of reconciliation and bridge building between the Christian community and those who have felt alienated from it through law-filled teachings not based on the grace we believe Christ intended. Many have been bruised in the name of “religion.” We believe that it is time for the healing to begin! Our worship is contemporary, meaningful, uplifting, and fun. Open Door Community Church is a nondenominational Christian Church.
Let us encourage one another through social media, by calling or by mail in the days to come. You are loved and Open Door is your family. We pray for the peace of Christ to be with you during this difficult time we are sharing with people of all nations. Weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning. You are not alone…we are in this together.Īnd though it may be night right now……it may be Friday in a theological sense….Sunday’s coming! Resurrection is coming…. for our animals……for one another… even our enemies. So many concerns.īut through it all may we let love arise within us for our world….for our environment…. My heart is aching for our homeless friends during this time. A special thanks and prayers for all whose work requires them to be on the front lines during this crisis. but in the waiting know that we are all in this together. I do look forward to our resurrection when we can all be physically connected again. I see a parallel with that truth and what we are experiencing now with our present epidemic.Īt a time when we are susceptible to doubts and fears let us remember that good Friday is followed by Easter Sunday.
The Christian faith revolves around the concept of death followed by resurrection. These are dark times for our nation and the world. Weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning
